The upcoming fall 2007 season of Broadway Close Up will
explore
the work of pioneering writers who continue to delight and amaze us.
Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell and Pippin)
and Sheldon Harnick (The Apple Tree and Fiddler
on the Roof) will each spend evenings presenting and discussing their work.
Each concert features interviews with the writers and performances by some of
Broadway's hottest talent. In our third concert of the season, Bound for Broadway returns with its eighth installment,
presenting new works and hosted by the delightful Tony Award nominee Liz
Callaway.
While Merkin Concert Hall is being renovated, this season will occur in the Times Center, a theater facility on the ground floor of the new Renzo Piano-designed New York Times building, at 242 West 41st Street (entrance on 41st St. between 7th and 8th Avenues). The seating capacity at the Times Center is smaller than Merkin Hall, so subscribe now, as we expect to sell out the whole series.
Returning subscribers will be given priority seating, followed by single ticket buyers from past seasons.
