Stephen Beus, piano
Tue. 05.13.08 at 2PM
Gina Bachauer prize winner and Juilliard student Stephen Beus is recognized as one of the most promising pianists of his generation. He will also take up the theme of Re:Invention with works by Bach, Mendelssohn, and Liszt. Each of these composers did their best to stretch their repertoire as the piano grew from a new invention in the time of Bach to the instrument of a superstar in the time of Franz Liszt.
This concert will be held in the newly renovated Merkin Concert Hall.
