Neighborhood

At the northern end of the Lincoln Square arts district in New York’s Upper West Side, the Kaufman Center is a short walk from many of Manhattan’s finest cultural gems, including the world-renowned Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and the Museum of Natural History.

With Broadway just around the corner and Central Park West and Riverside Park close by to the east, the Kaufman Center is part of an elegant, mostly pre-war neighborhood of well-kept brownstones, shady tree-lined streets and local eateries, bars and delis. Many actors, young professionals, families and people with an interest in culture and the arts are drawn to live in this lively area.

Numerous fine hotels, good restaurants and interesting shopping spots help keep the bustle on the street, and the area is well served by major subway and bus lines.
